Our heart goes out to the family who lost their Jack Russell.
We live in a crazy world and I wish people would accept the fact that their dogs must be supervised while outside and, at night, be inside with their family.

Something sinister is lurking in Happy Valley, Oregon – or rather, someone sinister.
A 14 year-old Jack Russell Terrier fell victim to a brutal act of cruelty this past weekend.
Last Saturday night, a Happy Valley family put their 14 year-old dog, Spot, outside for the evening.
On Sunday morning, the dog was nowhere to be found.
Later Sunday night, the dog’s mutilated body was discovered.
A necropsy was performed by Kris Otteman, DVM, Director of Shelter Medicine for the Oregon Humane Society.
Dr. Otteman has determined that the puncture wounds and partial skinning of the deceased dog were the work of a human – not another animal.
The mutilation (skinning) appears to have taken place after the dog was dead.
Now, the Clackamas County Sheriff is searching for the person(s) responsible.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 503-723-4949. Please reference Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office Case #11-21463. All information will be kept confidential.
This just makes me sick – what has this world come to? The person or persons found responsible should go through the same torture as they put this poor little old dog through. My heart goes out to Spot and his family…..
My heart goes out to this little dog’s parents. So sickening… scarier yet is that studies have shown that a person who’s capable of a deed this horrific, may be profiled as a serial killer or that sort of criminal. Any serial killers in the Happy Valley, OR area?
This is so sad……not only for that poor baby, but for his parents…rest in peace little one…it’s scary to think that other animals will be threatened and then the sicko will start on humans! Just remember God is watching every rotten thing this person is doing and will have His vengenance one day!
So shy stick the poor thing out for the night….what’s wrong with keeping them in the house? Not trying to say it is their own fault, but in my neighborhood if you leave your animal out, it is subject to wild animals that can hurt or kill them. If they are truly part of your family, keep them in the house with you at night…don’t just “Put ’em out for the night. Would you do that to your children?
That is insane what is wrong with our society. My dogs stay inside at night but I sure would not want to worry about them if they happened to be in my fenced yard. What is crazy if some individual came into my yard or anyone elses with out permission and the dog ended up taking a bite out of them they could and would sue the dog owners.
Freakin Sociopaths….Put them under the jail because the next stop is humans
It’s sad, but really, just as children, you can’t leave your dogs outside unsupervised anymore. Too many wackos that will poison them, kidnap them to sell them to labs or as bait dogs for dog fighting, or do disgusting things to them like this sick idiot. I won’t ever let my dogs stay outside for a full night even if at home, nor do they stay out if I am not at home.
Well my gosh! Yeah a wacko killed and mutilated the dog, but a dog, let alone a 14 year old dog, should never be “put out for the evening”! Are you crazy?!? I’m sorry for the death of that poor dog, but the owners aren’t blameless in this.
This really upsets me because the subject hits close to home. I also have a 14 yr old JRT who is my baby. I hope the sicko who did this receives the same punishment poor Spot received!
Poor dog & his family – my heart goes out to them
There is a special place in he’ll for scum like that. My heart goes out to the family.
