Michael Vick To Address Congress On Evils Of Animal Fighting

It seems the Michael Vick search for redemption train is moving full speed ahead.

On Tuesday, the convicted dog killer will be testifying before Congress in support of the Animal Fighting Spectator Prohibition Act, legislation which would strengthen laws against animal fighting.

Appearing with Vick will be Humane Society president and CEO Wayne Pacelle.

Vick and Pacelle are teaming up to push for the legislation of bill HR 2492 which would make attending organized animal fights a felony.

Currently the law punishes only the organizer of the event.

Last week it was announced that Vick signed a lucrative endorsement deal with Nike.

Lets hope they get the point that BSL doesn’t stop dogfighting. Of course it’s all to do with public relations and the hope for big contracts.

That’s like having Tony Hayward give a talk to congress on the dangers of oil drilling. An ABSOLUTE JOKE, just like vick himself, the team he plays for, the people who endorse and support him… can I go on?

Oh my god, are these people insane? Does anyone in their right mind believe this crap? This is another indication of what money does and how it CORRUPTS people. They should be all ashamed of themselves especially “Mr Humane Society president” and any Vick supporters.  This is just all too hard to believe!

More media hype…He will never convince me that he has any real remorse for his actions.  He is just trying to impove his public image so that he doesn’t lose any endorsements or the real bottom line…money.

Let’s also make sure that Congress asks him to give names and addresses of the places where these dog fights are happening and who is breeding and training these dogs. He HAS to know – he was too involved in it not to know. He could do a LOT of good by giving up his old buddies to law enforcement. I totally agree with Garrys_gal – he is just trying to improve his public image to get more money – but I’ll never be convinced that he has any real remorse and will not support any organization that allows him to endorse their products.

I STILL BELIEVE THAT VICK HAS NO FEELINGS FOR ANYTHING  but if he is willing to do something positive for animals i say go for it..he should donate some money to animal shelters also since he has an abundance..;)

This man does not need to be talking about dog fighting. He should not have been allowed back into the NFL.  If he wanted to be a savor to dogs he should never have fought and tortured them. i find this complete BS hes just trying to get better deals and to get back in the publics favor
