It’s A Bird! It’s A Plane! No, It’s Norman The Dog On His Scooter!

With 500 Facebook fans, a YouTube video and an appearance on the Late Show With David Letterman, Norman, the scooter riding canine has quite a busy life.

Norman, who lives in Canton, Georgia started scootering when he was a mere puppy.

‘He began playing with our kid’s scooter in the backyard and we thought it would be fun to give him a ride on it,” says Norman’s owner Karen Cobb.

‘Then we decided to teach him to push it. Now he loves riding his scooter.’

Norman, who is a Briard, was true to form for his appearance on Letterman when he hopped on his scooter and glided across the studio floor to the delight of viewers.

Video footage on YouTube also reveals he is one of the most polite dogs on the planet.
Norman can close doors after himself and wipe his face with a towel after taking a drink of water from a bowl.

His manners have also earned him dozens of prizes on the show ring circuit.
Norman won a Companion Dog title at just 15 months old and many more dog obedience ribbons have followed.

And while Briards are not generally known for the scootering abilities, they are known to be quite intelligent dogs having been originally bred in France for their herding skills. Other recognized talents include search and rescue and guarding. They also make excellent companions, having been the favored companions of Napoleon and Thomas Jefferson.

Norman however, with his scooter is still our favorite Briard, though.
