I’m sure you already know that the Dog Files advocates for dog adoption, spay/neutering, etc. Well the good folks at Pets Add Life (Pal) agree with us.

Right now through October 4th their Shelter Showdown Contest is running on Facebook to promote awareness of pet rescue/adoption and the importance of supporting the shelters that work so hard to save man’s best friend.

To help more pets find their forever homes, PAL is giving away a total of $25,000 to three lucky Petfinder-affiliated shelter rescue organizations!
You can vote once a day from now through October 4th to help your favorite shelter win!

Here’s how to vote:

1. Please visit the Pets Add Life Facebook Page, then “LIKE” the page.

2. Click on the facebook.com/PetsAddLife/app_114770661946535″>Shelter Showdown Tab on the Facebook Page and follow the instructions to vote for your favorite Petfinder-affiliated shelter.

3. You can vote once a day till October 4, 2013.

The winners will be announced the week of Oct 7th! 1st place shelter wins $15k: $10k for a community-wide adoption on 11/19 National Get a Pal For Your Pet Day and $5k as a general donation. 2nd & 3rd place winners each receive $5k donations.

Please vote so your favorite shelter can win. They need all the help they can get.
