NEWTON, Kansas – A rescued Kansas piglet befriends a dog.
It began when Stacie Tonn stumbled upon a piglet that fell out of a livestock semi-truck while driving her kids to school.
Concerned, she took the animal to her veterinarian husband, Shane.
It turned out the animal had suffered a concussion, and was unconscious for several days.
But the couple, with some major help from their dog, hunter began looking after her.
Hunter lead her around, played with her and kept her clean.
“I was surprised, it’s not what I expected,” Staci said. “I kind of passed by it when I looked it was the little piglet.”
“It had a serious concussion and it was unconscious for several hours to days and lots of bruising,” Shane said. “I really didn’t think she was going to make it through those first 48 hours.”
The Tonns decided to adopt the piglet and named Mu Shu.
Although she’s still partially blind, Mu Shu and Hunter remain inseparable as she recovers.
what a shame I couldn’t watch the video – there was an annoying Toyata commercial instead :-((
That’s one hellava piglet if it could drive a livestock truck to school. Homer better move over there is a new pig in town. 🙂
