This video is really funny… because it’s not my dog. If it was my dog, I’d be that crazed owner.
Animal Cruelty
'Worst Case' Of Dog Neglect Ever Seen At UK Animal Shelter
An Old English Sheepdog needed medical treatment after it was abandoned outside Wood Green’s Animal Shelter in Cambridgeshire, England. The dog, named Floyd by staff, had hair so long and
I was laughing at the poor man chasing his dog I would have been just like him and then I noticed all the cars stopping and I got to thinking about a dog I know of that almost died because a goat kicked him then I thought of Fenton hurting one of the deers and then it ended so I didn’t know what did happen. Not I’m stressed……. LOL 🙁
makes me glad I know my dog is well trained and wouldnt do that! But its only cuz I work with her everyday
hope the dog came back safe and sound …
Yeah, yelling at your dog angrily doesn’t work. Why would he come back to you if you’re pissed?
Well trained or not, a off-leash dog in public is as good as a dead dog. Dogs are animals first with instincts, such as in the above video. It only takes one squirrel for the prey drive to kick in and the dog to run into the street and get hit by a car,or kidnapped. Not to mention be hurt by another animal, or hurt another animal or person, and then you’ve got a lawsuit on your hands with the potential for having your dog taken away from you.
If you love you dog, use a leash when not in a fenced-in area. It’s your responsibility, and in most places, it’s the law.
Good post really nice!
This video made me laugh! Great post!
very
interesting. as
always))
Maybe the dog’s herding instinct just kicked in. I think the man may have overreacted. Sometimes we just have to let them do what comes naturally and they will come back to us looking for praise.

FENTONNNNNN!!!
You’re right….funny, because it wasn’t your dog. Poor Fenton was just doing his job. Pretty dumb of his owner to have him off lead in an open area like that. I hope the two of them wound up back together safe and sound.
Why blame the owner? You don’t know the situation. That dog could have ran out the door for all we know. A lot of animals get loose when we least expect it. Of course,he should know basic training when off a leash…but even then something could happen. And I doubt this man knew his dog was going to go crazy running after deer. People let their pets loose in big fields all the time.
You people act like everyone else should be perfect when it comes to their animals. But thats it. They are just like…Animals. With animal instincts. You can’t control them 100% of the time. Lay off..seriously.
They are just that**
In many places the dog could be shot for harassing wildlife.
Yes, it is serious- but at the same time you have to laugh. It is sooo what would happen to me!
I agree Pat. I have 3 labradors myself and they will give chase too. Before I let them out at night I have to go out with my mag lite to make sure I see no deer eyes. I would sound just like this guy. What makes it funny is the number of deer and the fact I could picture this happening to me. I do not think my dogs would know what to do if they caught up with them but I would be worried they would get hurt, deer can be quite brutal with their feet.
Tammy, I’ll bet the next time Fenton went walking it was on a very long lead! LOL
