GOD LOVE THIS SWEET DOG!! I PRAY THAT PATRICK GETS THE MOST WONDERFUL HOME OF ALL!! HE DESERVES IT….JUST AS ALL TERRIBLY ABUSED ANIMALS DO!! Kudos to all who have helped Patrick to recover on all levels. Once he is physically/emotionally and physcologically on the road to wellness, I hope he finds a forever home with someone who knows how to keep a dog balanced and well continue to work with him. He will need a skilled “dog” person who has the patience and love to deal with what will bring him back to trusting and showing what kind of wonderful dog he really is.
I have been following this story from the beginning and at first thought that there was no way Patrick could be saved. The first available pictures of this dog made it seem as if he were already gone. His recovery has been nothing short of miraculous. I have been active in animal rescue for over twenty years, and just before Patrick was found I had all but given up and was ready to throw in the towel. I did not think that I could go on because the state of animal welfare in my country made me feel useless. But when I saw this dog determined to heal and refusing to give up it renewed my strength. If such a badly abused animal could allow himself to believe that things would get better, who was I to quit and say “I can do nothing”? Patrick is the reason I did not give up, indeed he has made me work harder for abandoned and abused animals than I have ever done before. He truly is a “Miracle.”
