Tennessee Woman Bites Cop Over Dog Poop

Dog Picks Up Own Poop

This is one for Ripley’s Believe It Or Not (and it’s all true!). A dog lover from Memphis, Tennessee who refused to scoop her pooch’s poop was arrested after biting a cop who demanded she pick up after her pet.

Kristen Anise Hall, 24, caught the attention of cops late last week after she began walking away from the steaming pile her pit bull left behind in an East Memphis, Tennessee park. When the officers told her she had to pick up after the dog, Hall refused,

The cops then said they were going to write her a ticket and asked for her ID.

Again Hall allegedly refused. When cops tried to detain her, she fought with them, biting one officer on the hand.

Several other officers had to be called to subdue her.

Hall was charged with assault on a police officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Human bites are way more dangerous than dog bites, if you get bit by a dog it’s sewn up and you get normal anti-biotics and a tetanus shot if you’re not up to date. Human bites are very dangerous, they have to leave the wound open for at least a week, photograph it every day to make sure it’s healing correctly and the antibiotics used are the strongest you can get with massive side effects including potential deafness. I think after assaulting a cop she’ll get jail time or more likely a spell in a psychiatric hospital. That isn’t normal behaviour. Not picking up poop isn’t a dog problem it’s a society problem, through all levels of society a minority don’t give any consideration about other people, I would pick up even if I didn’t legally have to, it’s just good manners.

My husband suffered a dog bite trying to break up a dog fight and the doctors at the ER said they DO NOT stitch up a dog bite for fear of infection just like a human bite. They did clean the wound and gave him IV antibiotics and a tetanus shot. The wound was quite deep and if it had not been the result of a bite it would have required several stitches to close.

I live in TN and work in Jackson which is pretty close to Memphis….anyway, the reporter on NPR said the woman was out of control, whereas the dog was very well behaved…..stupid, biting woman..

I find it very satisfying to know that the pitbull was very well behaved while it’s human wasn’t. She needs obedience school and maybe have to go through a mine field of doggie doo! How stupid do you have to be to let a dog of that size do it’s thing in public and not be prepared to pick up after it?! I hope the dog is removed from her custody!
