Pit Bull Rescued From Pennsylvanian River: Video

A pitbull was rescued from a debris pile in the rain-swollen Schuylkill River Saturday after someone called authorities. It was not known how long the dog had been stranded.

The rescue took about two hours and was carried out by the Linfield Fire Company water rescue unit, Spring-Ford Rescue Squad and Phoenixville Fire Department water rescue unit.

The female dog was turned over to the Chester County SPCA.
