United Kingdom — A Family whose Yorkshire terrier was stolen by a mystery woman in a road rage incident have been reunited with their dog.

Paul and Alison Wilson, of Farndale, on the North York Moors, have found missing dog Wookie safe and well.

The terrier was snatched by an unknown blonde woman from outside the couple’s home two weeks ago and it was found at an RSPCA centre in York.

Mrs Wilson, a hairdresser, said: “I got a call from a lad in York, who wouldn’t identify himself, but said the woman who took Wookie was a friend and he overheard her bragging about nicking him.

“He had seen the appeal and it really pricked his conscience, so he ordered her to return it to the nearest dog centre.

“They rang me and I started jumping around my living room when they told me he was safe.

“I am absolutely overjoyed to have him back – we never thought we’d see him again.”

The drama started when the woman, in her 30s, complained she had nearly run over sevenyear- old Wookie outside the Wilson’s home.

She was then abusive to the 14- year-old son of the local estate owner as he was putting the dog into a kennel.

The angry motorist then snatched Wookie and drove off with him leaving Mr and Mrs Wilson and their children Ross, 11, and Katie, two, distraught.
