Missing Dog Turns Up 600 Miles Away From Home

Your dog is missing. You’ve spent a month doing everything you could to find him. When do you give up? Is he alive? Is he dead?

A Virginia couple recently went through just this. They finally came to the conclusion that their beloved dog, Deacon must have died. That was until they got a phone call from an animal control officer in regards to her missing dog. At first, Pamela Holt thought it was a ‘mean trick’ but later realized her dog was really found. Their pup was alive & well… 600 miles away in Deland, Florida.

A convenience store clerk saw Deacon and another dog running around in traffic last week and called animal control. Both the dogs were safely taken to the kennel where the microchip implanted in Deacon helped track down the Holts.

Though it may be a long drive from Virginia to Deland, Florida. It was definitely worth the trip. The Holts picked up Deacon this past weekend and will probably never know how their dog travelled 600 miles.

If only dog’s could talk.

Can't imagine the feeling of losing my dog… but the feeling of getting her back after a 600 mile journey… wow! Awesome.
