Greensboro, NC — More than a hundred puppies got a start on a new life Sunday. Hundreds of people lined up at the Guilford County Animal Shelter to fill out an application to adopt one of the French or English bulldogs, raided and rescued from a Stokes County puppy mill.
And get this, one person drove eight hours, from Ohio, to get a chance for the adoption.
Guilford County Animal Shelter Director, Marsha Williams, says she hopes to be able to pair up applicants with a dog by next weekend.
Why aren’t they open on Satudays? Glad so many puppies will be adopted—hope all the homes are stellar!!!!
Yay for adopters! Boooooooo to puppy mill.
Good idea, but bad timing. Number one rule over the holidays, don’t bring home a new pet. It’s too chaotic, there’s goodies (including chocolate!) laying around, it could end up a complete nightmare for the foster homes and the pets.
good thing
