CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — Two sick dogs walked into a human hospital and ended up getting the medical care they desperately needed. It may sound bizarre, but it happened Friday at Christus Spohn Shoreline Hospital.
The two puppy pals were dog tired after their big adventure, one cuddled up comfortably under a hospital secretary’s desk. Around 10:00 AM last Friday the canines walked straight through the glass doors and into the hospital’s lobby. Like other patients, they waited patiently to be seen.
Dr. Jim Cato and his staff decided to help the emaciated pups and gave them a little TLC. Their next task was to find them a home. The Gulf Coast Humane Society agreed to take them in, if they could get a ride to the shelter. So the doctor carried his patient and placed him into the back on the channel 3News unit, who drove them to the Humane Society.
Reluctantly, the pups left their comfortable back seat and were placed in their new temporary home. In just a few short weeks, the puppies should be ready for adoption. But you better believe they’ll never forget their big adventure at the hospital.
So sweet! I hope they get adopted together, they seem to be very attached to each other.
You should put them together in the same crate they are buddies and love each other it broke my heart to hear them cry to be together.

@Bonita and Tja1120: I was going to say both those comments, but you beat me to it! such sweeties. I’m sure they’ll both get great homes.
As cute as they are and as heartwarming as the story is, it all goes back to irresponsible humans who let these poor dogs go out on their own. Thankfully, there are truly good people too–those who ended up helping them.
