Fenton the Labrador Chases Deer, A Lot Of Deer: Funny Video

This video is really funny… because it’s not my dog. If it was my dog, I’d be that crazed owner.

I was laughing at the poor man chasing his dog I would have been just like him and then I noticed all the cars stopping and I got to thinking about a dog I know of that almost died because a goat kicked him then I thought of Fenton hurting one of the deers and then it ended so I didn’t know what did happen.    Not I’m stressed…….  LOL  :-(

Yeah, yelling at your dog angrily doesn’t work. Why would he come back to you if you’re pissed?

Well trained or not, a off-leash dog in public is as good as a dead dog.  Dogs are animals first with instincts, such as in the above video.  It only takes one squirrel for the prey drive to kick in and the dog to run into the street and get hit by a car,or kidnapped.  Not to mention be hurt by another animal, or hurt another animal or person, and then you’ve got a lawsuit on your hands with the potential for having your dog taken away from you.

If you love you dog, use a leash when not in a fenced-in area.  It’s your responsibility, and in most places, it’s the law.

Maybe the dog’s herding instinct just kicked in. I think the man may have overreacted. Sometimes we just have to let them do what comes naturally and they will come back to us looking for praise.

    FENTONNNNNN!!!

You’re right….funny, because it wasn’t your dog.  Poor Fenton was just doing his job.  Pretty dumb of his owner to have him off lead in an open area like that.  I hope the two of them wound up back together safe and sound.
