Michael Vick Tops List Of Most Disliked NFL Players

Players with legal troubles and quarterbacks head a list of the NFL’s most disliked players. The list, based on the findings of a public survey of NFL player perception conducted by Nielsen and E-Poll Market Research, indicates that players with legal issues, contract disputes or suspect character are viewed unfavorably by NFL fans.

Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback Michael Vick ranks first on the most disliked list. Vick is apparently still suffering from negative perception surrounding his 2007 conviction related to his participation in a dog-fighting ring. A full 60 percent of those polled said that they either “dislike,” “dislike somewhat” or “dislike a lot” regarding Vick, who is playing his third NFL season since his release from prison.

Immediately following Vick on the list are New York Jets wide receiver Plaxico Burress, who resumed his career this season after serving a prison sentence on a gun charge, and Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who was investigated — but never charged — in a sexual assault case.

I wonder if this beautiful puppy was one of the poor dogs that ended up smashed against a concrete wall or thrown into a pool with battery cables attached. This beast makes my stomach turn.

Not only a puppy, but a puppy whose ears have been hacked off.

Vick is an example of the lowest of the low.  He shouldn’t be allowed to ever touch another animal!!!

Vick has evil eyes. My Mom always told me taht they are the windows to the soul. His is obviously dark and empty. Too bad NFL has no moral fibre and is only interested in $$$$$$. He hasn’t changed- somebody who can do that to a defenseless animal is too far gone and will eventually do it to a human. I hope he will eventually get what’s coming to him…what goes around comes around and it usually bites you in the butt. Let’s hope it’s a PIT BULL with a great memory.

Unfortunately, he’s also won the NFL Comeback Player of the Year and Ed Block Courage award (and WTF is that?  I don’t know who Ed Block is, but someone please explain to me what kind of “courage” Vick has demonstrated), so maybe the public mostly agrees he’s an ignorant douchebag, but sadly the people in his chosen profession don’t think so.  I just hope one day he gets what’s coming to him….which is at a minimum some of what those dogs suffered.

He has NEVER appeared remorseful. Not once. Just arrogant. He should have done hard time.

Vick should not be allowed to play football! He should be cleaning kennels & litter boxes for the rest of his life! Those poor dogs he tortured never knew love or trust because of him but yet he has “status” with the NFL! Shame on you for giving him a second chance when he clearly never did nor will he!

I want to know if this picture is from before he was arrested or since he did the time? I thought he was forbidden from owning an animal  after he got out of prison??? I agree with Serenity and her mom, Vick has evil, soul less eyes. I also agree with Alis’s comment. I believe in forgiveness, but I don’t think the man is really sorry or even realizes what he and his cohorts have done.

People say he paid for his ” mistake”. A mistake is leaving your keys at the market, dialing a wrong #, torturing and killing dogs is a decision he made to disregard morality, human kindness and any scrap of conscience. How do you pay for being a horrible human being?

I agree with everyone else here. Michael Vick is a sociopath, a person without a conscience. They don’t all of a sudden develop one! Once a sociopath, always a sociopath. He should have been given a lengthy jail sentence for all the torturing and killing of those poor, innocent dogs. Instead, because he’s famous and a good athlete, he is rewarded. Think of all the money he’s also making as spokesman for several famous companies, too! What a loser . . and what a sorry role model we are giving our children! This country has its values all mixed up . . .
