Ozzy Osbourne’s 10k Rescue Puppy

Ozzy's 10K Puppy

Ozzy Osbourne has splashed out $10,000 on a rescue dog.

The rocker and wife Sharon Osbourne fell in love with a Yorkshire Terrier when they attended the 13th Annual Design Care – an event that benefits Sharon’s ‘The Talk’ co-star Holly Robinson Peete’s HollyRod Foundation, which helps families coping with autism and Parkinson’s disease – in Beverly Hills on Saturday and entered into a bidding war to win the pooch when he was auctioned.

Speaking before the charity auction, Sharon – who owns several dogs – said: “That puppy is divine!”

Bidding opened at $5,000 but Ozzy continued to outbid the rest of the room, ending the sale with his five-figure bid.

Sharon later tweeted a picture of the puppy – who has been named Ozzy – and revealed she had had a “quite fabulous” time at the event.

She wrote: “Attended HollyRod’s “DesignCare” charity event last nite w Ozzy. We had a brilliant nite &Ozzy bought a rescue (Yorky) puppy. Quite fabulous”

They AUCTIONED a puppy???? That seems irresponsible to me … way to promote imples buying!

  • Allison

    Duh – spellcheck – IMPULSE

An auctioned puppy is NOT a rescue puppy!

Hey at least the $$ went to charity…..I guess if you are one of the rich and famous anything goes……the rest of us….we will just love our rescue mutts who we really did rescue……

. . . this is so wrong on so many levels. Shame on the Dog Files for posting it in such a positive light.   :o (

So wrong.  Auctioning off a dog, really – I just hope the little pup doesn’t end up as a true rescue dog.  Shame on the Osbourne’s if he does.

Need more facts, but it could have been donated by a local shelter to help the cause.

Thank you for being sane. It was a rescue pup. The Osbournes love dogs and a charity got $10,000. That’s called win, win, win.

I have a Yorkie and he is fabulous!!  They are quite independent, you know…so I named mine Indy. They’re not really big on cuddling, but they love to play and they are very loyal!  God bless you and your family!

It was a FUNDRAISER for an animal rescue – save a pet while you raise money for the shelter.

I don’t see a problem with the auction. The people there were there for the specific reason of raising money for shelter animals and anyone who bid on the puppy WANTED it. I can assure you that puppy could do a lot worse than having Sharon Osbourne as it’s momma.
