For years now, at every Mets and Yankees game, she’s been forced to sit outside for hours on end with a pipe in her mouth, wearing what is believed to be a shock collar hidden by colorful bandanas and silly outfits with neither food, nor water, nor rest, just so her owner can panhandle for money.
While the shock collar hasn’t been seen since it would be hidden underneath the attire, witnesses say that when the dog attempts to lay down, she immediately hops back up. Her owner stands about ten feet away from her.
This is the plight of a dog named Coffee and thanks to 7000 plus caring individuals who have joined the “Stop Abusing Coffee” Facebook page, hopefully this abuse will stop.
Along with the Facebook page there is also a petition for Coffee, that with hopefully enough signatures, stadium officials will be moved to take a stance against the dog’s owner.

How could this have been going on for sooo long. Why in the world hasn’t animal control stepped in to help this dog. I’m just shocked no ones done anything for this poor dog.
I don’t like this page because someone should have stepped in a long time ago and taken this dog away from this mean, greedy man!! This puppy needs a loving home where he can just be a dog and not a slave laborer!! Don’t let this jerk have another animal ever again!!
ok I agree why has this been left to happen for so long? I am sure people must have called the Humane Society, etc. someone is NOT doing their job. Humans are the must DISGUSTING creatures on the planet. This story is breaking my heart…Everyone that goes to a Mets or Yankees game should complain to the powers that be. This jackass should get a job like the rest of us. What a disgusting piece of crap…geesh now I am all pissed off and riled up.

I dont see anything wrong with it. I use that same padded collar for my show dogs that Coffee is wearing its called an ice collar you fill it with water and freeze it or put ice in it. Anyone can train a dog to hold something in its mouth and sit for long periods of time. If this is abuse then so are guide dogs. That simple. they basically do the same thing hold things, open things, sit or stand for long periods of time. As long as the dog is loved treated right and given water and food and love for her days work i see nothing wrong. She was saved from the streets. thats the abuse the streets.
Also this dog is earning her keep. Just like show dogs, field dogs, sled dogs and all working dogs. Be thankful the guy isn’t in front of the stadium fighting dogs like people have tried in the past for money. I see a well fed well loved dog here that a trainer is proud of.
