Jennifer Aniston has lost a beloved friend.
The actress’ Welsh Corgi-Terrier mix, Norman, died a few weeks ago at 15 years of age.
“He was an old dog and it was just his time,” Aniston said.
The canine was often pictured running on the beach and hanging out on movie sets alongside his famous companion, who is also the owner of a white German Shepherd mix named Dolly.
Though the men in her life have come and gone, Aniston could always count on her furry friends for unconditional love.
“Really, the most unconditional form of love that you can encounter is with a dog,” the 42-year-old star told the February issue of Allure magazine. “They’re excited the minute you come home, and they show the same amount of excitement every day. They’re loyal, and they’re always, always faithful.”
In 2008, Aniston reflected on the reality of losing a cherished pet.
“There really is no relationship like the one you have with a dog – and then they don’t live as long as they should,” she said at the time.
“You have to say goodbye way too soon. It’s just so sad. It makes me so sad. But their love is unconditional and I love that.”
it’s sad, sad, sad whenever anyone loses a beloved pet!
I would be excited every time Jennifer Aniston came home to me too! Just sayin…
I hope she find your beloved asap
very sorry for her loss..or anyone that loses a pet..they really are a part of the family..my dog is almost 2 and I can’t even imagine losing her..she is my heart..
I lost my last two dogs Ginger and Miller way too soon and I can feel her pain. I cannot imagine life without my dog Harley that we rescued when Ginger died. Harley was only 4 weeks old and they were going to put him down because he was a black dog. If you could have seen this cute little wiggly puppy, well he won my heart immediately. Jennifer you have my heartfelt sympathy and I hope that you can find some comfort in Dolly and maybe someday get another dog?
I am over 60-have had dogs since my grandfather gave us one as a child-can not imagine not coming home to someone so happy to see me and wagging that tail, barking for a treat.
Use to have 2 dogs they both lived for 14 years-all rescued-I was searching for a new dog for quite a long time of course wanted to rescue an older dog no one wanted-then Georgous Girl came to me,4 years ago she was 7 years old, identical personality of one dog that passed away-I am so lucky!! so is she-her background; she survivied a hurricane in Puerto Rico as a pup and was tattoed, sent to Miami humane society-a fantastic family rescued her for 7 years-they had to give her up, this dog and I had met years before at the familys house friend of a friend sent word I wanted a dog-they drove her to Cocoa Beach from Miami-3 hours-they pulled up and out came Georgous Girl the dog I had been playing with at his house years prior. Talk about small world!
I want to mention/remind y’all: these sentiments s/b for all pets….dogs/cats, both! And the other pets children have, too: lizards, guinea pigs, hamsters, fishes, turtles, etc.!
I know what you ate going through. I recently lost my German Shep in Jan.of this year. I am so very sorry for you loss.. He is with you always Their spirit never dies..Diana
