They’re almost as evil as the monster who starved him and threw him away in the trash.
The story of the rescue of Patrick the Miracle Dog was apparently too tempting for scammers and others looking to cash in on his fame.
The Associated Humane Societies/Popcorn Park, which is caring for the emaciated and abandoned pit bull as he recovers, says a number of organizations and individuals are claiming to collect money on his behalf, but none is going to the pup.
At the same time, new pictures were released of Patrick and the garbage chute that almost became his tomb on the day before St. Patrick’s Day.
Patrick was found by an apartment building maintenance man who saw movement in a bag at the bottom of the chute.
His horror story resulted in the launch of a Facebook page that showed international outrage over how a pet could be treated like trash.
“The story of Patrick alone is heartbreaking, but the fact that people are trying to profit from this travesty is just despicable,” Associated Humane Societies Executive Director Roseann Trezza said in a statement.
The AHS notes there are t-shirts and even artwork being sold with likenesses of Patrick, but none of those result in any donations to its work.
The organization suggests anyone who wants to donate on behalf of Patrick visit its website www.ahscares.org.
Kisha Curtis, 27, the owner of Patrick, awaits trial in Newark on four counts of animal abuse. An investigation by the New Jersey SPCA continues into whether Curtis, or possibly someone else, actually put the dog in a plastic bag and threw him down the chute.
Curtis’s mother says she was given the dog and could not afford to care for it.
So if she couldn’t afford to take care of him, why wouldn’t she find him a new home??? Does she have children? If she does, I would be very concerned for them! She is a MONSTER & obviously very selfish & ignorant!!!! I am sick to my stomach over this story! She should be punished to the FULL extent of the law!!!!!

Frankly I think she needs to be put in a room with people like you and me for 5 minutes. The law won’t punish her enough for what she did. She should be required to walk around town with a sign on her front and back that says she starved Patrick while feeding her own face.
This made me cry and now i am just plain outraged at the human race. This is just disgusting. I hope they pay for what they did to this poor pup.
I cannot even imagine how people can be this selfish! I am happy that I was raised with no selfishness! I have a big heart and alot of love to give, If someone is down an out i give the shirt off my back. I have been poor all my 48 yr’s and could never take food out of any one or thing’s mouth!… These people are not human they are the most dispickable monster’s on earth.
It was amazing how fast all the different Patrick Facebook pages popped up asking for donations for various reasons. People who use Patrick’s plight as a way to make money when animal shelters need this money to save more abused and neglected animals like Patrick are the lowest of the low. If you want to donate to Patrick, donate to Patrick or your local animal shelters, but not the “trolls” out there trying to make a fast buck. Disgusting!

This gutter sludge that did this to Patrick deserves so much more than the full extent of the law. She needs to know what it feels like to be leashed up and not fed. BUT I feel like those that saw Patrick in this state and did nothing deserve to be punished as well. How can anyone call themselves human and ignore the pleas and cries from an animal. It took months for Patrick to get into this state, so don’t tell me others in this building knew nothing about him.
You know, if she could not take care of the dog she could have said-No thank you, but….. to poor Patrick’s determent she did not. One way of making her see the folly of her mistake would be to have her do community service ata local animal shelter.where she could see the effects of people’s acts on their animals. But then again after what she did … it might not make a difference. Anyone who attempts to cash in on anything or anyone’s misfortune illegally should be horse whipped. Another example of this is the guy in Japan who “supposedly ” rescued the two abandoned dogs. He is getting illegal donations for animals he does not have.

Parasites will always try to cash in, it’s a indication of how Patricks story has touched many people, hopefully the word will spread quickly and the people who are trying to cash in will be stopped. Just tell everyone you know. Thanks Dogfiles for telling us, I’d heard lots of rumours on FB that this was happening. Always best to do your homework before parting with any cash.
Totally disgusting behaviour, this does not happen overnight, this takes months of systematic neglect, there are people out there who want to help, if you cannot care for your pet, they will take them and care for them, and find new homes….why can’t people just admit they can’t look after the animal !!!!

Her Mother says she couldn’t afford to feed Patrick, so how come she can afford all her false hair, false lashes, false nails etc, they certainly don’t come cheap, but she most certainly is!
