According to the Vet, no corrective measures are needed for the dog because he was just doing what he thought was the right thing to do.

the dog did this man a huge favor. obviously those toes were long dead, and probably gangrenous. the smell was horrific for sure. lots of folks with poorly treated diabeties have lower extremity issues, such as non-healing sores and open infected wounds. sometimes people get very stubborn and won’t seek help to have an amputation done. this stubborness can easily lead to entire limb loss or even death of the patient.
