I’ve owned a doggy daycare, and at least one person should be present when the dogs are playing together, you never know when another dog might become aggressive. Also check to make sure the Doggy Daycare or Boarding facility has liability insurance. I feel so sorry for the owners. The Beagle owners should pay to have ‘Annabelle’ cremated and also purchase them a new puppy!!!
I am of the opinion that it is exclusively the fault of the day care owner(s) and that the day care owner should pay for the cremation and for the new puppy! It is the day care owner’s responsibiliy to take care that the dogs are well taken care of and to separate them if they don’t fit together. Why else is it called day CARE????
Yeah, well those owners of the beagles better watch out. I am a proud Pomeranian owner and that must have been the most traumatic thing a little toy dog could go through. I will personally be down there to take care of those two beagles. They won’t have a leg to stand on.
Heartbreaking. If I can possibly help it, I will NEVER board my dogs or cat ever again. And I have an English Mastiff and a 50 lb. Pittbul mix.
This story just breaks my heart. I’m so sorry to the owners of the Pomeranian. I also believe that the Doggie Day Care should also be held responsible, someone should have been in there with the dogs. If it was me I’d be sueing the pants off that day care, plus work to get some laws changed. The ower’s of the beagles should pay all cost for their dog cremation. And putting beagles in the same area with a Pomeranian, aren’t beagles breeded to hunt foxes, it’s in there blood to do just what they did.
So whats going to happen to the beagles? Are they in a lock down until its decided if they should be deemed vicious animals and destroyed, or where they released to their owner/owners who are now waiting to be sued? I think the Day Care is 100% at fault. Wasn’t anyone over seeing the open play area. Everyone knows not to leave dogs in that kind of setup alone. Glad there where no small children around.
Why would a person want to take their dog to a place that turns them loose with other {strange} dogs?? I love my dog too much to abuse it that way. I think the doggie pretend to be care should be held responsible for all of it, and the owners of the dead dog should feel ashamed for what they did.
