As you can see by our logo, Max means a great deal to me.
I adopted him in 2002 from St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center in Madison, NJ when he was just turning one. He was skinny, a bit frightened and had a serious bout of separation anxiety. I took him home and we quickly became best friends and pretty much inseperable, just ask my friends.
He is the sole reason The Dog Files exists. No Max, no Dog Files. It’s really that simple. He inspired (and continues to inspire) me to figure out what I really wanted in life. I could never thank him enough.
Love ya, Max!!!

This was his Petfinder picture, taken before I knew him.
This was taken at his first photo session about a month after I adopted him. One of the photos from this session became The Dog Files Logo.
Max’s first Christmas with me. Take your dog’s picture with Santa, set up by St. Hubert’s at a local mall. All money went to the shelter.

You and Max both seem to be very happy together.
Absolutely handsome. If you view my female dog Angel on here…..they look like they are from the same litter. I rescued Angel in dec of 2000…2 of the other pups also found a home…but turned them over to spca because of anxiety issues. No one knows what happened to the other 4 pups.
Max seems to be thriving wonderfully in your loving care. Max is the reason I became addicted to the Dogfiles as you already know!
What a beautiful dog, not to mention obviously very happy!
That first photo is heartbreaking! Such anxiety in his eyes. That is the picture that symbolizes why we should rescue our pets. They need us, we think we're saving them at the moment, but then they turn around and give us pure joy…and that's hard to come by!
Thanks for all the Birthday Wishes!!!

Max is one good looking dog. Gorgeous! (You’re not too bad yourself! I prefer no goatee!) Black and white are my favorite dog colorings too. I’d love to have a dog that looked like him!
